Welcome to the personal website of Lenny Short. I'm a jack-of-all-trades IT professional located in Fremont, CA. I received my bachelor's degree in 2006 and have been working in IT ever since. I am Cisco-CCNA-Certified, and I also have completed the Network+, Linux+ and Security+ certifications in the past several years.
I currently work as a support engineer for a company named Hurricane Electric. We run two data centers in Fremont CA, and I work at the larger of the two. My workday typically consists of helping our customers with their needs, along with monitoring and maintaining our networks, both in the building I work at and our other Points of Presence located in various places around the world.
I am passionate about helping our customers achieve their objectives and fulfilling their needs, both on-site and remotely. In my job we do everything from helping our customers configure and work with their email and web hosting service, racking and configuring servers and other network equipment, to monitoring and expanding our network across the globe. At my job we get support tickets for most everything you could imagine in an IT environment every day.
